The Brunswick Pullover

Are you looking for a super comfortable pullover sweatshirt that also has fun details? Then I think you’re looking for this pattern. Hey June Handmade constantly pumps out such great wardrobe staples!

I love a good “pop” and also happened to have a bunch of navy striped fabric scraps in my stash. I lined my hood with a polyester knit striped fabric, and then used a woven (quilting cotton) for the side plackets, button covers (I used a dritz button kit) and zip pocket on the sleeve.

The Main Fabric of my sweatshirt was made from 1.25 men’s size 5x Hanes Sweatshirts that I ordered from walmart.com!!! They were so cheap (less than $8), and I didn’t have time during testing to order from a fabric shop (and I knew JoAnn’s wouldn’t have a big color selection of sweatshirt fleece).

I had some leftover so I did what I always do with big scraps… I made something for one of my (4) kids! I used the Everyday Sweatshirt pattern from Made Everyday (I made it long). She loves that we can match, but was sorely disappointed that she didn’t have the arm pocket! Next time.

GO get this pattern, because it sews up quickly (there are a few different options as well), and once you make it you won’t want to take it off!!
